AUGUST ADOPTION SPECIAL - Les Chat Noir
Black tie affairs, limosines, the little black dress - when you’re looking for sophistication, everyone thinks black. Black cats evoke the quiet, gentle sophistication that makes them ideal pets.
During the month of August, everyone who adopts a black cat from the North County Humane Society will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a gift bag of cat related products, including: a pet bed, a quilt made out of cat themed fabric, a mousepad, a set of mugs, and more!
What’s more, NCHS has black cats in every shape, size, sex and age. There’s Jingles who’s a 4 year old male; Cody, a 10 week old kitten; Ella at 12 weeks of age; Ginger, a senior at age 9 who would make an ideal pet for a human senior; and, Miles, a 9 week old male. The North County Humane Society store, open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., has great dog and cat related gifts such as custom made jewelry, mugs, magnets, dog bandanas and treats, children's books, and assorted other gift items and stocking stuffers. Shop early as supplies are limited. The shelter is located at 2300 Ramona Road in Atascadero, on the frontage road just off the Del Rio Road exit. For more information, call 466-5403.

Shop for the Shelter
The North County Humane Society is having a "Shop for the Shelter" event in front of the following businesses on the dates noted below. They all run from 9 - 12, and are all on Saturdays. On these dates, a volunteer from NCHS will be in front of the applicable businesses with a list of needed items for our local shelter, such as: cat food, cat litter, cleaning supplies, office supplies, etc. This is a concrete way in which YOU can help to support our felines! If you have any questions, contact the shelter at 466-5403.
